Osteopathic recognition

  • Osteopathic recognition is an added qualification residency programs can obtain from the ACGME to demonstrate that they offer residents osteopathic training and that they follow the training guidelines outlined by the ACGME's Osteopathic Principles Committee.

  • Gain a hands-on point of care skill to help your patients with musculoskeletal pain, improve circulation and improve bodily function. 

    This training includes encouraging a holistic mindset in patient care, osteopathic principles in practice and gaining skill in manual techniques/treatments

  • We have multiple avenues for osteopathic clinical exposure including

    • Inpatient and outpatient opportunities

    • Longitudinal FM clinic

    • OMT specialty clinic

    • Faculty Mentorship

    • Workshop Days

    • Didactics and Lectures

    • Formal testing scenarios including the annual CORTEX exam 

  • DO Graduates: 

    • Join all the activities, pass ITE and sign commitment letter December of intern year.

    MD Graduates:

    • Gain OPP/OMT skills/knowledge at workshop/conference prior or during residency

    • Demonstrate entry level knowledge by passing an entrance exam  mediated by the  national board of osteopathic education 

    • Pass ITE

    • Sign commitment letter
